Shyam Institute
Kazakh National Medical University (KazNMU), located in Almaty, Kazakhstan, is one of the country’s oldest and most prestigious medical universities. Established in 1931, the university is named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, its first rector and a prominent figure in Kazakhstan’s medical education. In 2001, the Government of Kazakhstan awarded KazNMU the status of a National University, recognizing its outstanding contribution to medical education and research.
Today, KazNMU is home to more than 11,000 undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students and employs over 1,500 highly qualified faculty members, including more than 200 Doctors of Science, 130 Professors, over 500 Candidates of Science, and numerous recipients of national awards.
