Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University (RNRMU) is one of Russia’s oldest and most prestigious medical universities, recognized globally for its excellence in medical education, research, and clinical training. Established over a century ago, the university celebrated its 110th anniversary in 2016, reflecting a long-standing tradition of academic excellence and innovation.

The university has played a pioneering role in medical education. It was the first university in Russia to establish a faculty dedicated to women’s higher education and the first institution in the world to launch a Faculty of Pediatrics in 1930, setting a benchmark for pediatric education worldwide.
